I just wanted to share a first-hand, second hand experience I had with my friend Jessica. First, Jessica messaged me on Facebook for a little advice, she said she was going to a show at a metal bar in a few weeks. She described her outfit to me, skinny jeans and a black top with a low back but she was struggling with choosing a shoe.
Having been to many metal and rock bars myself, I know the scene quite well so my first suggestion was maybe a pair of boots. Jessica described her reddish brown knee-high boots which she is reluctant to wear because "they make her look shorter and stumpier" and on this particular night, she plans to dress to impress.
Jessica is a full-time college student and a mother, so she doesn't have as much fashion funds, as she would desire. We discussed the idea of some booties or short boots with heels. I recommended she check Goodwill because of the low prices and variety. I also know Goodwill receives donated, brand new goodies from Target and other local stores.
Voila, the next day Jessica stopped by Goodwill and found these in her size! How perfect is that?? Funny enough, I own the exact same pair!
January 18, 2013 Update
So tonight is the night Jessica paints the town! She just did a sweet little dedication to me on Facebook and posted some pictures! She said, "My simple, but fun Saturday night outfit. The boots I dedicate to you. Thanks fashion guru." I hope she has a blast, part of me undoubtedly knows she will!!
Check out her booties in action!
